EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 21, 2026 · VERSION 2026-10-21.1
Terms of Use
HOT 16 ARENA is operated by AppLickEnt. These terms govern participation in its weekly rap competition and private arenas. Questions, disputes, copyright notices, and account concerns can be sent to hot6teen@hotmail.com.
1. Eligibility and agreement
Participation is for people aged 18 or older. Before uploading a verse or voting, sign in, confirm you meet this age requirement, and accept the current terms. Keep your account secure. Do not impersonate others or use multiple accounts to get additional entries or votes. You must comply with applicable laws.
2. Your recordings and music rights
You retain ownership of your original lyrics and performance. Submit only your own performance and material you have permission to use. Do not include unlicensed samples, copyrighted lyrics, another person’s voice, or private information without appropriate permission. The host must also have permission to supply uploaded beats for participant recordings and public playback.
By submitting, you grant HOT 16 ARENA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, mix with the weekly beat, stream, display, and moderate your entry as needed to run and show the competition, including its winners archive. This does not transfer ownership or authorize unrelated advertising use. Access to the weekly beat is provided only for recording a HOT 16 ARENA entry and playing that entry through HOT 16 ARENA; it does not grant permission for separate commercial releases or resale.
You understand that approved recordings, artist names, titles, scores, and vote totals are public. Do not include information you do not want others to hear. Request removal through the support email. The operating license ends when the recording is removed, except as needed for backups, legal obligations, or resolving a dispute. HOT 16 ARENA cannot retrieve copies already saved or shared by others.
3. Weekly competition rules
Weeks run on Pacific time. A new weekly beat begins Monday at midnight. Submit one 16-bar audio verse, 15–90 seconds long and no larger than 20 MB, by Friday at 11:59 p.m. A bar is a measure in 4/4. Submitted entries cannot be edited. New entries are held for administrator moderation before public playback or competition eligibility.
The administrator may assign up to five judges. Each active judge scores every eligible approved entry for flow, lyrics, delivery, and originality, each out of 25. Judge scores are combined for ranking. Active judges and the administrator cannot enter the competition or vote. Up to five highest-scoring eligible entries are locked as finalists on Saturday, or Sunday before the voting deadline. Fewer qualifying entries means fewer finalists. Scorecards lock when voting opens. The weekly beat cannot change after the first submission.
Each other eligible signed-in account may cast one final vote per week, including contestants. Voting ends Sunday at 6 p.m. Pacific. The highest vote total wins. Ties use combined judge score, then earliest submission. If no votes are cast, judge scores decide. If no finalists are published, no winner is declared. No cash prize, paid entry, or payment for winning is offered in this version.
Entries or votes involved in rule violations may be disqualified. Removing an entry can affect results, including the winners archive. Signed-in users can block artists from their own feed and manage their personal list under Account. Blocking does not disqualify an artist or affect judging. Suspensions and content removal are separate administrator actions that apply to everyone. Technical outages may require the administrator to cancel a week; material format changes will be communicated before a future competition. Apple and Google do not sponsor or administer this competition.
4. Community standards and moderation
Do not submit threats, targeted harassment, hateful discrimination, sexually explicit material, exploitation of children, encouragement of illegal violence, scams, spam, impersonation, or content that violates others’ privacy or intellectual property rights. These rules also apply to artist bios and social links. Link only to your own legitimate profiles; no deceptive, unsafe, or unrelated links. Artistic expression does not excuse these violations. Do not manipulate voting, bypass suspensions, or disrupt the service.
Signed-in participants can use Report on an entry to raise a concern. Personal artist blocking is available to signed-in users; each user’s list is private. Only the administrator can suspend an artist or remove content for everyone. The administrator reviews submissions and reports and may approve or remove content, disqualify entries, or suspend participation. Judges have no moderation powers. Reports are not public. For urgent concerns, copyright claims, or an appeal, email support with the entry and relevant details. Report resolution depends on human review; submitting a report does not automatically remove content.
5. Privacy, removal, and account requests
Read the Privacy Policy for recording permissions, passwordless email access, data use, retention, and deletion requests. HOT 16 ARENA does not receive or store your email password. Removing HOT 16 ARENA data does not delete your external email account. You may stop participating at any time. Delete account-associated data under Account or through the public account deletion page; you can also request deletion through support. Recordings and active records are removed, while minimal identity, deletion/weekly-limit markers, and necessary suspension records are retained for security as described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion does not reset the current week’s entry or voting limit.
6. Private Arena Starter subscription
When offered through the iOS App Store or Google Play, Private Arena Starter is an optional auto-renewing subscription priced at $1.99 per month in the United States, subject to the store’s displayed local price and taxes. It includes one private arena, up to 15 total members including the host, one active private competition, host approval controls, private voting and results, up to 30 days of private recording history, and no third-party ads. The public weekly competition remains free.
Payment is charged to your store account after confirmation. The subscription renews unless canceled through your Apple or Google account before the renewal date. Cancellation stops future renewal and access continues through the paid period, subject to store rules. Apple or Google handles billing, refunds, and payment disputes under its policies. Deleting the app or your HOT 16 ARENA data does not itself cancel a store subscription; cancel it in the store account. If billing expires, the arena may become read-only before private data is removed under the retention policy. Hosts control membership but may not use a private arena for harassment, illegal activity, infringement, or evading moderation.
7. Service availability and changes
HOT 16 ARENA is provided as available. Continuous availability, error-free recording, and any particular competition outcome are not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. We may update these terms; the effective date and version will change and renewed agreement will be required before further submissions, voting, or private-arena use.
